Sarah Kirwan is a disability consultant and public administration professional with more than 25 years of experience. For the last decade, her work and research have focused on healthcare administration, communications, training, and policy. She is the founder and CEO of Eye Level Communications, LLC, a disability- and woman-owned small business based in Arizona, and I’ve worked with clients including Google, the YMCA, and the City and County of Los Angeles.

In 2011, she was diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis, and in 2019, with Superior Semicircular Canal Dehiscence, a rare inner-ear and vestibular disorder. This combination of personal and professional experience has enabled me to become a trusted resource on disability inclusion and a passionate disability rights champion. she has found a home and a sense of belonging in the disability community.

She is the creator, producer, and host of the Incluse This! Podcast, a movement for disability equity. She has appeared in advocacy videos for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and in Prevention Magazine, Hearing Health Foundation Magazine, and Yahoo! News.

She is a natural leader who understands that people want to be seen and valued for who they are—which means meeting people where they are. By working with clients to cut through barriers and identify organizational needs and strategies, she delivers customized and relevant consulting, training, coaching, and keynotes that transform mindsets and behaviors, improve outcomes, and affect positive culture change.

Her programs promote awareness, foster acceptance, and advance understanding of disability at all levels within an organization. Her personal story, which fuses resilience, reinvention, natural curiosity, humor, and genuine frankness, gives me a unique perspective and ability to empower clients. She supports those sh work with to take comfort in their discomfort, strengthen critical thinking and communication skills, develop trust, and bring out the best in themselves and their teams.

Born and raised in Iowa, she moved to Los Angeles shortly after receiving her Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Journalism, and Mass Communications from the University of Iowa. She lived in California for 22 years and hold a Master of Science in Public Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. She has worked across various industries, including healthcare, higher education, insurance, recruitment, nonprofit, government, executive recruitment, entertainment, politics, telecommunications, finance, agriculture, and wellness.

She is a member of the Leadership Council for the National Small Business Association, along with the National Diversity Council and the California Diversity Council. She is the Board Chair of Shield Maidens Wheelchair Basketball and a policy advocate with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
